champion story: Tina Campbell!

With lived experience of TB, both as a patient and nurse, Tina Campbell is a trusted healthcare provider in many remote and largely Indigenous communities where the rates of TB are disproportionately high.

Last May, Tina represented the Canadian Indigenous population at the United Nations High-Level multistakeholder meeting and continues to be a champion working towards the elimination of TB.

She is a true champion and we are proud to work with her and learn from her. Read more about her here.

we deliver at Women Deliver

Earlier this July, Deputy Executive Director Taryn Russell and Senior Advisor of Policy & Parliamentary Affairs Lindsay Sheridan travelled to Kigali Rwanda to attend Women Deliver.

This conference convenes stakeholders from around the world to break barriers, address challenges, and identify opportunities to advance gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights around the globe.

Results Canada participated at the care economy pre-conference, made interventions at a roundtable with former Minister of International Development Sajjan, and hosted a hugely successful official side event with UNICEF Canada on the importance of supporting, training and remunerating community health workers!

Growing up in Chennai, India, Ekatha was deeply shaped by the inequities she observed around her. In response, she picked up the pen and became a journalist, telling stories from historically marginalized communities.

Now, she is proud to work at Results where she continues to work on her two loves: storytelling and advocacy.
