Augusta County brings the holidays to Richmond
Local Christmas tree farm sends tree to the Executive Mansion

This year, Francisco Farms of Augusta County provided a 12-foot Canaan fir Christmas tree to be displayed on the first floor of the Executive Mansion in Richmond. Bill Francisco, owner of Francisco Farms, met with Governor McAuliffe and family to present the tree.
If you haven't gotten your live, fresh-cut tree yet, check out Francisco Farms, Carter Coffman Christmas Tree Farm or other farms in Augusta County.
On the same holiday note, Augusta County recently provided a holiday ornament to be hung on the tree. The Executive Mansion's tree theme for 2016 is "Home for the Holidays," and thanks to the artful craftsmanship of Augusta County's own Bob Kirchman of The Kirchman Studio, Augusta County provided a handmade ornament featuring the historic Grandma Moses home. This one-of-a-kind ornament will be displayed with other localties' ornaments on the Francisco Farms' tree.
