Better Wastewater and Water Infrastructure for York Region

On May 24th, it was announced that 29 new projects in York Region have been approved under the Government of Canada’s Clean Water and Waste Water Fund. The federal government is providing up to 50 per cent of funding for these projects—over 3.2 million. The provincial government is providing up to 25 per cent of funding for these projects—over  $11.6 million of total eligible costs, and the Regional Municipality of York will provide the balance of funding.

On May 23rd, the Ontario Government’s Special Advisors released their final report in the Changing Workplaces Review, outlining 173 recommendations to the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Labour Relations Act (LRA).
