Aurora Chamber of Commerce Newsletter
The mission of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce is to facilitate the growth of
Aurora area businesses, promote tourism, and invest in programs
that enhance and enrich the community.
Happy New Year!!!

I hope everyone had a very Happy Holiday and I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year!

As we move into 2019 and I celebrate my first anniversary as Executive Director, I would like to thank everyone who helped me transition into this new role. With that being said, look for some changes to our events a few things added and a few things deleted and a few just being refreshed!

Our monthly luncheons will either be a Networking Luncheon (no speaker, strictly networking!) or a Lunch & Learn (speaker!). We are adding more networking events – Coffee & Contacts in the morning and the ever-popular Party on the Patio in the evening. We want to try and have one of these events every month. In the past, we only have had After Hours events during the summer months, but I received a few requests to try and have them year-round so we will see how that works! If anyone is interested in hosting a Coffee & Contacts in the morning or an After Hours event (name still to be determined) please let me know!

AWiN (Aurora Women in Networking) is also planning monthly events Women of Wisdom . These will also be either before work, during lunch, or after hours. The first AWiN event of 2019 will be held on January 8 from 5:30-7:00pm, hosted by The Aurora Inn and featuring Metis Construction. AND…these events are not only for women men are more than welcome to attend.
Upcoming Chamber Events
We are currently working on the 2019 Aurora Community Guide. All Chamber members will be receiving an email in the next few days asking if you would like to purchase an ad and/or listing. Submission deadline will be January 31st. Please keep a lookout for this email and contact the Chamber office at assistant@allaboutaurora.com should you have any questions .
Grab a friend and join us for complimentary appetizers and listen to Metis Construction Services' own Julie Brandle & Elizabeth Eaken discuss "Women of Wisdom."
