From the SBDC Associate Director, Elena Vasconez:
We would like to welcome Claudia Yanez to the Aurora-South Metro SBDC to add to our consulting team in Aurora. Claudia is both a trainer and certified SBDC consultant with small business expertise for both Spanish- and English-speaking entrepreneurs. Read on to learn more about her.
Claudia Yáñez – Claudia is a Bilingual Sr. Small Business Specialist with the City of Aurora and the Aurora-South Metro SBDC. She is a business generalist with deep expertise in a variety of start-ups including food and childcare businesses, and the formation of cooperatives. She can work with SBDC clients in business plan development, business start-up strategies, cash flow development, pricing and sales projections, marketing strategies and, basic QuickBooks. She is the instructor for the Leading Edge Business Planning class and Cooperative Development classes in Spanish. She has assisted over 250 small businesses in launching and growing. Claudia is a Certified Colorado SBDC Network consultant.

UNEMPLOYMENT UPDATE: President Trump signed an Executive Orders on August 8th to supplement unemployment insurance benefits by $400 per week through the end of the year.

If you have already filed for benefits, you do not need to contact CDLE to receive supplement unemployment insurance benefits.  If needed, here is the direct link to reopen a claim: https://smartfile.coworkforce.com/Start.
AUTOMATED PPP FORGIVENESS TOOL 
A new, free tool developed by the AICPA and biz2credit is designed to help borrowers and their CPA advisers complete the forgiveness application for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans. The tool is available at www.PPPForgivenessTool.com. The tool incorporates the PPP forgiveness calculator developed by AICPA and is available to any business approved for a PPP loan, regardless of the lender it worked with to receive funding.
