APS May Monthly Meeting
The APS Monthly Meeting will be May 18, 1:30-3pm at the Carver Library,
1611 Angelina St, Austin. The Annual Contest winners will be announced. The Spoken Word Contest will take place at the meeting and the winners chosen by popular vote. There will be an annual meeting and a voice vote taken for election of officers.
Sept, Oct, and Nov meetings will all be at Carver Public Library.
Invite Someone New
Know anyone who is a writer or wannabe writer or poet or reader of poems? Invite them to attend a monthly meeting or forward them a copy of the newsletter. We are better when more interested folks attend.
New Feature: Board Profiles
There are a lot of Austin area poetry activities. To help us recognize each other, there will be a short bio with picture, one person each newsletter. It seems only fitting to start with Barbara Gregg, outgoing president.
Nominating Committee
A Nominating Committee for board members of APS is being formed. A partial slate of candidates for next year's Board Members is below and additional members are needed. Please consider volunteering for this adventure. You may provide just the spark needed. Contact Carie Juettner, Sonny Regelman, Claire Camargo, Cathleen O’Shea, Barbara Gregg or e-mail to
