All Monthly Meetings are normally 1:30-3:30pm in an Austin Public Library Branch on the 3rd Saturday. The May meeting is cancelled. Discussions are underway to move it to on-line. Let the MuseLetter editor or a board member know your preferred venue, e.g. Zoom, Skype Meeting, Google Meeting, WebEx, Facebook Messenger Rooms, etc.

Black Lawrence Poetry Chapbook Contest is now open for submissions! Each s pring and fall Black Lawrence Press will run the Black River Chapbook Competition for an unpublished chapbook of poems or prose between 16-36 pages in length. The prize is open to new, emerging, and established writers. The winner of this contest will receive book publication, a $500 cash award, and ten copies of the book. Prizes are awarded on publication. The deadline is May 31. Submit your manuscript to  Black Lawrence Press.

Omnidawn Poetry Chapbook Contest Open to all writers: no expectations or limits
regarding the amount of poetry a writer has published. Winner receives $1,000, publication, and 100 copies. Accepting electronic & postal submissions May 1 to June 15, 2020. Victoria Chang will judge. Details at www.omnidawn.com/contest.

Maria X. Wells had three poems, "Memories in Silver”, “A poem about Poetry”, and “The Child”, included in the Austin International Poetry Festival anthology.

Janelle Curlin-Taylor had "The Tree" accepted for the 2021 Texas Poetry Calendar.

Jeffrey Taylor had "Where Home Is" accepted for the 2021 Texas Poetry Calendar and "Sage Advice" accepted by the California Quarterly.

Susan Rogers had "Women & Power" accepted by Nomad's Choir Poetry for the 2022 issue. "The Pandemic of 2020" will be published by the Williamson County Sun in April or May. "When Enchantment Thins" will be published in The Ocotillo Review .
"Not Us, but Time" will be published in di-verse-city 2020, the anthology of the Austin International Poetry Festival.
She was interviewed by Janet Kuypers on the Texas Nafas program, Channel 16, Austin Public Access Cable about her book "In the Beginning: an Egg, a Mask, a Woman." It has been rescheduled for May 1 at 9:30 pm. If you are not in Austin, you can watch it live at Austin Film Society Website

Benjamin Nash had "Glue" and "Bus Driver" accepted by  Green Hills Literary Lantern . He also had "Light Depressed" accepted by  Eclectica Magazine .

Michael Eaton had "Those Hidden Places and Other Poems" piblished in Stonecrop, spring 2019 issue.

Bradley Strahan had a poem accepted by Comstock Review and "Cruelty" accepted by Calliope .

Christa Pandey has been busy administering the APS annual awards. The results are in and will be published mid-May, unless there can be a physical awards ceremony meeting to celebrate the winners.
