The Critique Group on November 3 is cancelled so Beth and the rest of us can attend the Georgetown Poetry Festival. Details below. The next meeting will be on Saturday, December 8, 1:30-3:30pm at the Old Quarry Library,

Kaye Voigt Abikhaled
reports that her poems, “Finding Water”, “Full Moon”, “The Slow Hum of Bees” and “Actors off Script”, were published in the August 2018 issue of
The World Poets Quarterly
, and translated into Chinese by Brent. Yan & Liu Shanghua.
Maria Wells read two poems at a reading on the island of Naxos, Greece.

September/October Monthly Contest
Big thanks to our judge, Judith Austin Mills. Judith is a central Texas writer and teacher. After earning an English/Creative Writing MA at UT, she completed two volumes of poetry, a short story collection, and several novels. She has publications in each of these genres.
Accidental Joy
, a sequence of poems, was released in 2014, and recently she finished a historical fiction trilogy with the launch of
The Dove Shall Fly
. Judith participates in Austin Poetry Society meetings as often as she can, and she learned much while on the board from its dedicated poet members.
