Join us for fun group activities at Teen Time this Friday! | |
Teen Time is a social program for teens aged 13-17 on the autism spectrum. If your teen is interested in socializing with others their age, then they are welcome to join us for conversation, games, and fun while we build friendships with other teens. We have Teen Time every Friday online, but on the second Friday of the month, Teen Time is only in-person at Linden Grove School (4122 Myrtle Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45236) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. ET.
The next in-person meeting is this Friday, December 9. If your teen is joining us, make sure to register at www.tinyurl.com/TeenTimeatLGS, which will make sure you receive the appropriate emails with specific information on location, attendance, and expectations. Registration for in-person Teen Time is required each month. For in-person sessions, pizza and water will be provided for teens. This month, we will be doing a bunch of fun crafts, including making wooden gnomes, snowman bead ornaments, and painted globes! Parents are encouraged to stay at the program for the first half-hour, and are required to stay for the duration of the program if their kid has high support needs. You can learn more by clicking the linked flyer to the left.
If your teen is interested in going to Teen Time online, make sure to register to receive a Zoom link and passcode at www.tinyurl.com/TeenTimeOnline. Registration for online Teen Time is only required once.

In a Different Key Movie Screening on PBS
Tuesday, December 13 9/8c
| |
In a Different Key is based on the Pulitzer Prize-nominated book, In a Different Key, written by journalists Caren Zucker and John Donvan. The movie shows a true story of love, autism, and the fight to belong. The film features a mother who tracks down the first person ever diagnosed with autism to a rural Mississippi town to learn whether his life story holds promise for her own autistic son. Her journey exposes a startling record of cruelty and kindness alike-framed by forces like race, money, and privilege. She ultimately finds hope for a future with greater acceptance for those who are considered different.
For the first time, the In a Different Key movie will be premiering on PBS stations nationwide, and will be simultaneously streamed across all station-branded PBS platforms, including PBS.org and the PBS Video app. The initial premier is on Tuesday, December 13 at 9/8c, but it will be available to stream on the PBS site and app mentioned for 30 days following the preview.
No registration or payment is required! Click the flyer to enlarge and learn more.
