Book Review

Our next book is "Uniquely Wired: A Story About Autism and its Gifts," by Julia Cook.

This is the story of Zak, a young boy with autism who takes you on a journey, of how he experiences the world and highlights the wonderful, unique gifts he possesses.
PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
iPad for Kids with Autism
iPads with specialized apps can accelerate the development of communication skills for children on the spectrum. ASGC, in partnership with Digital Sparks, will provide iPads to families to help children with autism with communication and learning. Each iPad will come with TouchChat, a communication app for individuals needing assistance with verbal communication.

Digital Sparks is a non-profit that aims to bring assistive digital communication devices to help children in need. They partner with organizations focused on supporting children on the autism spectrum to get digital technologies to help kids and families.
