The Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority recently approved an extension of the MHSW Program to September 30, 2021. Consequently, Q3 invoices previously scheduled to be issued on September 30, 2021, will now be issued on July 30, 2021. Final MHSW Program invoices, as per the Approved MHSW Program Extension Addendum, will now be issued to stewards by December 31, 2021.
Stewardship Ontario has implemented a fee reduction for the antifreeze category for the July 30, 2021 invoices. In addition, actual fee reductions in the oil container and oil filter categories have been adjusted in relation to targeted fee reductions identified in the April 2021 Fee Reduction Update for the Q3 invoice to reflect lower than anticipated actual SSA costs in each of those categories.
Details of the updated fee reduction schedules for oil containers, oil filters and antifreeze are provided below. Stewardship Ontario will continue to assess financial forecasts throughout the wind up process and, if possible, increase fee reduction amounts available for stewards on final MHSW Program invoices.
