News Circling the Square
apples & peppers Fresh and Local - There are 3 more markets left for the  Dedham Farmers Market this season.
Held on Wednesdays on the First Church Green at 670 High St. from 3-6 pm through 10/31. You'll find fresh picked produce, baked goods, jams and preserves, handmade pasta, fresh seafood, potted plants from the Endicott Community Greenhouse and more!

Not-So-Spooky Fun - 
The Annual Dedham Square Trunk or Treat event, organized by Dedham Square Circle, will be held on Sat. 10/27 from 3-5 pm in town hall parking lot.   FREE! Kids can trick-or-treat at merchants around the Square, too. A spooktacular event you don't want to miss!
 
Guaranteed Good Time -  Dedham Square Circle's Annual Fall Party will be on Fri. 11/9 at the Dedham Public Library on Church Street.  Come check out all the exciting new changes at the DPL and help raise funds for our ongoing revitalization efforts in the Square!

Music Notes - Every Friday and Saturday night Dedham Square Coffeehouse  showcases some of best local musicians in the Boston area. No cover charge.   On Wednesday evenings, DSCH hosts Stump Trivia. All ages welcome!

Stop, Drop and Roll  - The Dedham Fire Dept. is hosting an Open House at their headquarters in Dedham Square on Sat. 10/13.  Kids can sit on the trucks, squirt the hose, learn safety tips and enjoy FREE pizza! 

Don't Know Much About History? The Dedham Historical Society and Museum hosts a guest lecture by Barbara Berenson, "Votes for Women: Massachusetts Leaders in the Woman Suffrage Movement". Lecture to be held at Dedham Public Library on Tues. 10/16.


You Gotta Have Art - The Dedham Square Artist Guild will host a reception for their artists of the month, photographers, Kerry Hawkins and Bill Fiolek, on Thurs. 10/18 from 5-7 pm.

Hop on In - Another month chock-full of fun events planned at The Blue Bunny including author visits and a fun Halloween-themed Bedtime Story Time on Fri. 10/19.  Click here for a list of their events.

Something for Everyone - Both the Dedham Public Library Main Branch and Endicott Branch have a wide variety of very fun and unique programs and activities for kids, teens and adults. On Wed. 10/17 NY Times Best-Selling author William Martin will be at the DPL  to speak about his new novel, Bound for Gold. On Thurs. 10/18 DPL will host a lecture on paranormal activity at the Fairbanks House! Click here for DPL's event calendar.

 
Square Jam - DSC's super star Board Member Peter Springer is organizing another Music Jam in the Square on Sat. 10/20. Enjoy live music at several venues around the Square in one night. Details are still being hammered out but we'll post the final performance schedule here.



Creative Kids - Emily & Addie will host a Bracelet Bash on Sun. 10/21 for kids to make their own bracelets and Halloween wands. On Wed. 11/7 and Sat. 11/10 the shop will have a special ceramic handprint/footprint keepsake workshop.

DCH hosts two upcoming  Saturday Night Kids Clubs on 10/13 and 10/27. Enjoy a kid-free night on the town while they have an absolute blast.

music notes Music Notes - Has your clarinet been collecting dust in the closet? Have you wished you could play your trumpet again, but worried you won't be "good enough"? The Dedham School of Music Community Band is an ensemble formed in 2017 for the sole purpose of rediscovering the joy of music making. It's open to all experience levels ages 15+! Currently accepting new members for all instruments.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - The Town's Sustainability Advisory Committee is holding their Fall Recycling Event tomorrow, Sat. 10/13, at Dedham Middle School from 8-12.  Styrofoam, scrap metal, electronics, paper for secure shredding, textiles and bikes!  will be collected.  halloween
 
 
 
Hey Boys and Ghouls - The Manor Neighborhood Association hosts their Halloween Harvest Block Party on Sat. 10/20. 
 
Fantastic Feast -Taste Dedham returns to Moseley's on the Charles, Thurs. 10/18. Hosted by Dedham Rotary Club, the event will feature more than two dozen restaurants, gourmet shops and the newcomers to Dedham!
