Age-Friendly Teaneck's leadership team was delighted to meet recently with Alexander Cerbone, who in August started in the new full-time post of Township Social Worker.
Cerbone, as part of the Department of Health and Human Services, will be on hand to help residents with social, emotional, physical, and mental health issues and crises. Cerbone can also refer residents to social services resources available, depending on their individual circumstances and need.
Having a full-time social worker is an invaluable resource for our community, especially with so many residents still feeling an impact from the pandemic and recent storms. AFT leaders look forward to collaborating with Cerbone on the goal of ensuring older residents - and people of all ages - can get the support they need to live in comfort, safety, and dignity and to remain engaged and connected to their community.
