I am thrilled to announce that I have just received a total of three  American Art Awards .

With submissions of a very high standard from 35 countries, the American Art Awards are a well-established and respected international award scheme aimed at promoting artists across multi-disciplines. Prizes are awarded by the 25 top American galleries that scrutinise and score all of the  hundreds of entries, with the results announced during September and October each year.

My three awards, (ranging from 6th to 2 x 3rd places) were received in the categories Fantasy Landscape, Floral Realism and Portrait of Someone Non-Famous (two of which have been featured already in Highlight Hollywood Magazine, the third will be included this coming week). You can follow the highlighted links to see these published articles.

This is the second year that I have been recognised by the award scheme - last year I received an award for The Yellow Window.

T he painting you see above is "Emergence", an 80 x 80 cm deep-sided canvas that became its very own process of emergence over the four months that I was working on it.

To read more about the process - and all the many insights it delivered to me along the way - you can dip into my recent   blog article which includes the above video.

New Website
With almost a decade worth of paintings amassed online, I recently decided that I wanted to present some of my work in a more curated way that highlighted my most current preoccupations and style of working.

As a result, I have now created a second web platform called Painting Light , which is a fresh and contemporary art space complete with video, blog and social media aspects.

Both the original Helen White and Painting Light websites will continue to show my work in new and complementary ways.

Do go and take a look :)
