Leading innovation on inclusion for 60 years

Community Living Huntsville is rooted in innovation.

Sixty years ago, area advocates imagined a North Muskoka where children and adults with disabilities could live as respected and valued members of the community, not apart from it. And then, they took ground-breaking action by creating what would become Community Living Huntsville.

Action to open doors in an increasingly inclusive community has continued and advanced since. We have stood alongside people and families as they raised their voices for self-determination and disability rights. We have supported our community to build connections and discover opportunities. We have sparked meaningful change that fosters inclusiveness and empowers people to live, work, and play in unique and purposeful ways.

Today, that work continues. Our not-for-profit organization strives toward innovative action for the more than 300 people and families we support. We recruit champions of choice and inclusion to our team. We partner on creative initiatives to raise awareness and funds. We launch events that bring people with and without disabilities together to build understanding and community. We work toward solutions on crucial issues, such as equitable access to housing. The list goes on.

Join us. We are delighted to announce that our annual Autumn Brunch fundraiser will return on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Further details are below. We hope to see you there, as we continue inspiring conversations worth having in our 60th anniversary year.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Willett
