Message from the Board Chair

Dear friends and supporters of the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame,

For 40 years, the Hall has honored the powerful contributions of women from every corner of Colorado, whose courage, leadership, and service have shaped our state. This statewide legacy reflects the diversity, resilience, and brilliance of Colorado women in every field and walk of life.

We are excited to announce that the Hall is currently accepting nominations for the Class of 2027. As we prepare to celebrate Colorado's 150th Birthday next August, let's ensure every region of the state is represented. Please consider nominating outstanding women that have helped shape our state, nation and world.



The Hall depends on members of the public to nominate extraordinary women. Inductees are selected by an independent, diverse panel of community members drafted from across Colorado.

Thank you for standing with us as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and invest in a future where every woman’s story can be seen, heard, and celebrated.

Honoring M.L. Hanson and the CWHF 40th Anniversary

The State of Colorado officially proclaimed 
August 12, 2025, M.L. Hanson Day in recognition of her unwavering leadership and commitment to establishing the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame.

That same evening, she was honored during a private Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame 40th Anniversary celebration, marking a truly historic day of recognition.

At the celebration of our 40th Anniversary, we reaffirmed our mission to honor the past, inspire the present and shape the future where women's achievements are recognized, honored and remembered.

I am honored to join the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame Board of Directors to help advance its mission of recognizing and celebrating the achievements of Colorado women whose contributions have shaped our state. As a mother of three daughters, I am especially committed to preserving these powerful legacies and ensuring their stories continue to inspire the next generation of leaders.
