Autumn Family Fun Fest

Join us at Eaton Preserve 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., September 23 for fall-themed fun!

Activities include:

Admission is FREE; however, inflatables, pumpkin patch, and petting zoo require paid tickets. Tickets and day-of wristbands will be available for purchase onsite.

Early bird wristbands are available now for purchase online for $15 and can be picked up at the event check-in. Additional wristbands will be available for purchase on the day of the event for $20. Wristbands include unlimited access to inflatables and the petting zoo and one pumpkin.

Rescue Rally & StoryWalk Grand Opening

Celebrate the Grand Opening of the new StoryWalk® with a paw-some day full of pet-friendly activities 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., September 9 at Clow Stephens Park. We’ve partnered with the Plainfield Area Public Library to bring you plenty of fun, food, freebies and fur.

Illinois Shotokan Karate

A variety of karate programs for ages 4 to adult start soon! Classes are held Tuesday nights at Lakewood Falls Elementary School, beginning September 5 and running until December 19.

Community Day of Play

Enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities, games, music and more at the Second Annual Day of Play held in partnership with the Village of Romeoville Parks & Recreation Department 5 to 7 p.m., September 12 at Rotary Park, 2023 Whitmore Drive, in Romeoville. No registration is necessary for this FREE event. 

Parent-Tot Sports & Super Sports

Participants have a great time learning a variety of sports at Parent Tot Sports and Super Sports, both with sessions beginning September 11.

Enchanted Ball

Come one, come all, it is time for the Enchanted Ball! Put on your most enchanting outfit and join us for a magical evening of dancing, mystical games, exquisite treats and photo opportunities 6 to 8 p.m., September 15 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center! Cost is $15/$18 for residents/non-residents (ages 2-14).

Senior Health & Wellness Fair

Area residents are invited to attend a FREE Health and Wellness Fair 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., August 30 at C.W. Avery Family YMCA. The fair is designed to promote healthy living and connect area seniors with a variety of resources in the Plainfield area.

This event is hosted by the C.W. Avery Family YMCA, Illinois House 97th District Representative Harry Benton, the Plainfield Township, and the Plainfield Park District.

Vocal Power Singing Classes

Do you like to sing? Or would you like to find your voice? Boys and girls ages 8-11 develop vocal skills, make friends and have a great time exploring a variety of musical styles. Vocal Power's energetic atmosphere provides an enriching vocal experience and helps children grow in confidence and skill. Classes run 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursdays, September 7 through December 7 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center.
