Autumn Brings Momentary Delights & a Call to Arms
Pandemic Decisions
Come early October the situation for autumn in Devon, UK started to appear increasingly challenging. COVID-19 pandemic community contagion rates were rising, and a nation wide lockdown looked highly probable. So with heavy hearts, we postponed our autumn programme until October 2021. Dates for next autumn are already online, along with the revised date for the Adventure Paddlers Weekend.

In other news, our Head Coach, Simon Westgarth has been selected to deliver both British Canoeing's Performance Coach Mentoring & Coach Educator programme, as well as being appointed as a Nation Trainer for the new Leadership Awards, running Community Events & Orientations.

New next autumn:
  • Dart Loop Coaching Clinics
  • Mega Monday's - 4 Progressive Sessions on WW III/IV
  • Transformative Tuesday's - 4 Progressive Sessions on WW II(III)
  • BC Performance Coach Mentoring & Coach Educator Development with Simon
  • BC National Trainer Community Events & Orientations with Simon

See Gene17Kayaking Courses for a complete list of clinics, courses and more. For BC community events and orientations see BCBA.

We hope to see you in Sjoa.
Save the Sorba
In amoungst the glorious creeking of Valsesia, Italy, there is kayaking gold. The run down the Gronda Race Course into the Sorba Slides is of stellar high quality. A cascade of granite slides, amidst the traditional stone houses in the village of Rassa is one of the picturesque paddling images to capture and kayak through. And yet a micro-hydro project is planned to dewater the river and scar this beautiful alpine landscape. Valsorba is one of the very few free flowing catchments in the Alps left. Please help preserve this wonderful paddling playground....
