Good Afternoon -

Please review this message in detail and give particular attention to the section related to your plans for Fall 2024.

All students will have actions to complete in the Housing Portal over the coming weeks. Tasks and deadlines will vary by student so please read this message carefully.

If you have not received instructions to be on the Housing Portal and are not actively selecting housing, please do NOT access the Housing Portal next week. This allows maximum system capacity to support those students who are actively selecting their housing during that time period.

For our students planning to be on the Reynolda Campus next year, you will participate in housing selection next week (March 25-28) for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

ON-CAMPUS STUDENTS

For those students who are living on-campus for the 2024-2025 Academic Year, please ensure the following:

  • You've completed your Housing Application (contact information, FERPA release, etc.)
  • You've signed your Housing and Dining Agreements.
  • You've joined/formed a roommate group if you wish to. Note: If you've been invited to join a group, you must return to the portal and accept that invite to be fully added to the group.
  • You've checked your selection time (or your group's selection time).
  • As a reminder, if your roommate group's average housing credits change, your selection time will change accordingly.
  • If you're in a roommate group:
  • You've identified who is going to be the roommate group leader.
  • You've confirmed that person is available to select at your group's selection time.
  • You've discussed who wants to live with whom within your roommate group.
  • You've reviewed the Housing Availability list and made a plan including several backup options for your housing selection.
  • Note: You must use your @wfu.edu account to access the availability list. Requests for sharing outside @wfu.edu will not be approved.
  • Note: The number of individuals in your roommate group must match the available beds in the unit (suite, apartment) you hope to select.

Our Housing Selection website is a central point for various resources we have put together for students.

Finally, please note that there will be a help desk (virtual and in-person) in our office in Angelou Hall from 3:00 - 8:00 PM EST each night during selection. For assistance, you can visit our office (enter from the rear of Angelou Hall), call 336-758-5185, or email/Google chat us at [email protected].

OFF-CAMPUS STUDENTS

No action is needed at this time by those (a) who have fulfilled the residency requirement and opted to live off-campus next year or (b) who have been released in writing from the residency requirement.

You will receive additional instructions in the coming weeks about address registration and agreeing to off-campus requirements and terms of eligibility.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DEACON PLACE IS ON-CAMPUS HOUSING,

AND MUST BE SELECTED IN THE HOUSING SELECTION PROCESS.

FALL STUDY ABROAD

If you're studying abroad in Fall 2024, please visit the Housing Portal ("Housing" process) at your earliest convenience and sign your study abroad agreement.

You may not select housing or join roommate groups for the academic year process. You'll have the chance to participate in our Spring Only process in November/December 2024.

Enjoy your time away, and check your email for messages from our office about the Spring Only processes!

Thank you for your time to review this important information and we look forward to working with you over the coming weeks regarding the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Best -
