Nonprofit Celebration Recap
Thanks to the 165 who attended the Celebration of Nonprofits last week at Midpointe Event Center. The morning panel asked the question,
when and how should nonprofits act more like for-profits? The panel was moderated by Rob Routhieaux, Hamline University, and featured Virginia
Arthur, Metropolitan State University; John Klem, HIRED; Casey Scott, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity; and Ron Tracy, PC's for People.

The Nonprofit Expo featured 40 nonprofits, who were able to inform
attendees of their organization and the good work they do throughout the year.
Special thanks to Krista Carroll of Latitude for being the keynote
speaker at lunch. Carroll spoke about her company's history of giving, as they have given half of their revenue to charities in the global communities of their clients- totaling over $2 million since 2009.
The event concluded with the big give-away to one lucky nonprofit. Earlier
in the program, attendees were asked to make a donation to a nonprofit in attendance, which would be announced at the end of the program. Through the generosity of our members, we raised $1,000- a big increase from the $700 raised in 2014. The winning nonprofit was Wayside Wellness, a new member from 2015. Congratulations to Sara Larson and the rest of the team at Wayside Wellness!
