$5,684 Raised for Avenues at Fred Astaire's
Avenues was chosen to be the recipient of the quarterly "Teach-a-Thon" hosted by Fred Astaire Park Ridge. This event is dedicated to raising funds for a local non profit by offering dance lessons at no cost, and instead encouraging a donation. The group surpassed their goal and raised a total of $5,684 to support Avenues to Independence. Thank you to the instructors and students who contributed the events success!

Thank you to Riley construction for hosting a coat drive for Avenues. As cold weather is quickly approaching, Avenues' clients will receive warm winter coats collected by Riley Construction. The remaining coats will be sold in the Avenues Thrift Shoppe, which supports the Avenues AveVenture Program. This is provided to Avenues’ program participants and includes workforce training in customer service best practices, computer skills, cashiering and general retail skills.
