Get to know volunteer Kelly Fitzsimmons!
For the last two years Kelly has been adding a little holiday magic to the Avenues homes. Kelly owns the business Light Up Your Holidays and she and her crew decorated Sasser Family House and Herbst Family House in Park Ridge for Christmas. They have also decorated the homes for Halloween as well.

Light Up Your Holidays is located in Chicago and for 20 years has helped customers decorate their homes for the holidays. After creating a successful business she decided it was time to extend the holiday cheer to those in need. After various decorating donations Kelly found out about Avenues homes and decided she wanted to help brighten the spirits of our residents.

How did you learn about Avenues and what made you want to get involved?

I heard about it from one of my clients and thought providing free outdoor holiday lights for homes like Avenues is truly in line with my mission. All of the residents, their caregivers and the entire neighborhood would receive the benefits of our magical lights.

Why do you think it is important for businesses to give back?

I feel it is the responsibility of all businesses to give back. Imagine if all companies gave a portion of their services- even if just a little we could make a huge impact in neighborhoods and create tighter communities.

How do people learn more about your business?
