Lama Nima Tsering Rinpoche's Biography
Nima Tsering Rinpoche is a life-long student of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, 11th Throne Holder of the Palyul Lineage until his passing in 2009. Born in Darjeeling in 1961, Nima Rinpoche began his formal Buddhist studies at Namdroling Monastery in India at the age of eight, receiving all the Nyingma Palyul Lineage empowerments and oral transmissions. He was graduated from the Ngagyur Nyingma Institute in 1994, and, after completing retreat, received the title Vajra Master Rinpoche.
Rinpoche has served as head of the Tsechu Monastery of Darjeeling as well as abbot of Kaohsiung Palyul Center and the Palyul Center in Shindian City, both in Taiwan. He has engaged in extensive retreat: in addition to the traditional three-year retreat and a one-year recitation of the Tripitaka, he has accomplished all aspects of Vajrakilaya. Read more >>>
