Aviara Results and ACES!

It was an absolutely beautiful day to play at Aviara on Sunday, March 15th! We had 48 participants which included 6 guests that played. It was a 12:30pm shotgun start so everyone was well rested and ready to play! Birds were singing, flowers were in bloom, the sun was shining and there was a nice breeze in the air....The greens were also as big as swimming pools, quick and it was hard to keep the ball on the green! Beautiful day yet challenging!

The Game of the Day was The President's Game - It was a team game. The catch was that for 6 of the holes, all 4 scores counted.

We had two flights with six teams in each flight and prizes were awarded to the top two finishing teams. We also had 2 Closet to the Pin Holes with three flights.

The 1st Place team players each received a $20 Golf Mart Gift Card and 2nd Place team players each received a $10 Golf Mart Gift Card. The CTTP winners each received a $10 Golf Mart Gift Card.

Both have qualified to play in our ACE of ACES Invitational at Singing Hills Golf Resort in November.

Players Cup Update

Registration is still open until April 30th for both the Gross Division and Net Division so don't delay, sign up now to maximize your points for the season! You can find the registration links on our website or in our weekly Tuesday morning Eblast.

We have two Players Cup events to update, so let's look at the highlights from both. We have the Native Oaks Member Guest Kickoff from March 8th and Aviara from March 15th. Our Member Guest Kickoff is a signature event, thus worth 1-1/2 points for all points-paying positions!

Gross PC

LeeAnn Taylor is our first multi-winner by claiming first place with her 79 at Native Oaks. Cindy Mason's second place with an 85 at Aviara helped her hang on to first place overall. LeeAnn and Cindy have stretched a gap over third place Deb Finlon.

Karen Bridges holds strong with her second place 84 at Native Oaks, earning those precious 1-1/2 times points. Margaret Ashwell stays in the top 12 with her 3rd place at Native Oaks. JoJo Hou tied Margaret for third, both with an 85, and JoJo finished a lone third at Aviara with 89, moving her up to fifth place overall.

Our big mover was Jackie Glynn, leaping up to 9th place overall by getting her first win at Aviara, shooting 82 and becoming our February gross ACE.

Net PC

Lois Spence picked a good time for her first win, shooting Net 70 at Native Oaks earning 1-1/2 points. Lois has a stout lead over Dina Mauger, whose second place Net 72 at Native Oaks moved her up to second place overall. Karen Bridges dropped only one spot to 3rd overall thanks to her third place Net 73 at Native Oaks.

Aviara Net ACE Natalie Hobson had a Net 71, so she is lurking just outside of our Top 12. She barely edged out Kelly DeMello who had a Net 72 and climbs back into the Top 12. Third place at Aviara was Michelle Schmidt with a very good Net 74.
