Avoid Clogged Drains After Your Thanksgiving Meal

Follow Our Tips For a Clog-Free Holiday

Avoid clogged drains due to Thanksgiving cleanup.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, keep fats, oils, and grease out of your drain.

Trash The Grease. After the turkey’s done and the gravy’s gone, pour your drippings or oily leftovers into a sealed container and place it in your trash.

Keep that grease out of your drain!

Wipe Before Washing. Before rinsing plates and pans, give them a quick wipe with a paper towel to capture any leftover grease. Then, toss the paper towel in your compost cart.

Go Easy On The Disposal. Use the disposal to clear standing water in your sink, not to grind food bits! Food scraps belong in the compost cart.

Compost Food Scraps. Collect veggie peels, rice, and all other food scraps in a brown paper bag, roll down the top and drop it in your compost cart. Keep disposed food from clogging your drains!

Thank you for keeping our wastewater system running smoothly.
