Ball screw actuators can move a load block up to a meter and a half/sec.

Ball screw actuators can travel distances of a meter and a half or less.

Because ball screw actuated guides combine the bearing block and the ball screw into a single unit, they are particularly useful in tight applications where a slide guide and an actuating system might not fit.

Ball screw actuators combine a block with a control method that can be directly connected to a motor. What’s more, ball screw actuators generally require fewer and smaller supporting devices than hydraulic or pneumatic-powered slide guides.

Slide guides can move a load block at up to a meter/sec.

Slide Guides can travel distances over a rail of more than a meter and a half.

A major difference between ball screw actuators and slide guides is that a slide guide can move freely over longer distances.

Slide guide ball bearings travel through raceways with a circular arch (left), giving the bearing two points of contact with the raceway. Ball screws can use raceways with Gothic arches which give the bearings four points of contact with the raceway. This enables the bearings to carry heavier loads than bearings with just two points of contact.

Flange Rotary Bush

Speeds Assembly

(SREK Series)

NB’s SREK Slide Rotary Flange Bush series offers the best of both worlds - the benefits of a slide rotary bush with the mounting ease of a flange. When your application calls for ease of assembly, you can select a completely integrated system.

No matter the installation direction of this compact unit, because the ball elements of the NB SREK Slide Rotary Bush series are positioned in a cylindrical formation inside the retainer, it smoothly facilitates both rotary and linear motion. Though compact, the relatively large steel balls support higher loading.

Size ranges are from 6mm to 30 mm. Detailed drawings and tables provide dimensional and mechanical information. Now also available in 3-D CAD.
