Save the date! From December 3 at 10:00 AM to December 13, at 11:59 PM, there’s an even greater opportunity to make your gift go further! Any amount donated online through our Run for a Reason (RFAR) charity page could help us win an additional $25,000 through the Chevron Houston Marathon Run for a Reason Charity Challenge. This December, make a difference by fulfilling the holiday wishes of our incredible residents! Through our Adopt a Resident program, you’ll be paired with a resident and receive their personalized wish list.

• Shop for their holiday gifts.
• Wrap the presents and deliver them to our lobby by December 20.

🏃‍♂️💙 Alex's 5K: A Day To Remember at Avondale House!

For the first time ever, Avondale House had the privilege of hosting Alex's 5K at our facility—and what an unforgettable experience it was! The event brought together an incredible turnout of runners, including our dedicated staff and family members, cheered on enthusiastically by our program participants.

The energy was contagious as our community came together to honor Alex and show support for individuals with autism. From the spirited cheers to the heartfelt connections, the day was a true celebration of unity and purpose.

Join Team Avondale House for the We Are Houston 5K!

The Houston Marathon and Aramco Half Marathon are completely sold out, but we still have a few spots left for the We Are Houston 5K happening on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Join Team Avondale House and run/walk the 5K for autism acceptance!

🌟Volunteer Spotlight 🌟

We are so grateful to Murphy Oil Corporation for coming out to complete yard work at some of our residential homes. They worked hard to transform our outdoor spaces into beautiful, welcoming environments for our residents. Their generosity and commitment to rolling up their sleeves and lending a hand truly makes a difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank you, Murphy Oil!

We had an incredible morning with the amazing volunteers from Houston Methodist, who worked with our program participants to make Thanksgiving crafts to decorate their classrooms with and bring home to their families. Houston Methodist's dedication brings so much energy and joy to our mission. Thanks so much for your continuous support!
