Dear Avondale Family,
The Session of the church met during a called meeting on Wednesday evening. Through prayerful consideration the leadership decided to continue the suspension of all activities, including the physical gathering for worship, on the church grounds in accordance with the CDC’s recommendation. In an attempt to support the community’s child care needs, the Avondale Children’s Center and the Bethlehem Center will be allowed to use their designated spaces. We are carefully monitoring the situation and will notify you immediately if/once the CDC recommendation changes.
Starting this Sunday, March 22nd, we will send out a morning email with a link that will allow everyone to participate in the Sunday morning online service. We invite you to join us during that time as a way of connecting to God and one another.
In addition, the Sunday email will include prayers and Labyrinth instructions for those wishing to use the Sacred Garden as a form of worship and spiritual nurture.
Ministry Teams are collaborating on ways that we can stay connected and support each other. As we develop new programs we will notify you of ways you can participate. Our care teams continue to check in on members. If you know of a member in need, or if you have a particular need yourself, please help us by notifying me or the church office.
We thank you for all your patience and understanding as we adapt to these ever changing circumstances. You continue to remain in my prayers and I look forward to the day when we can be together again.
Grace & Peace,
