ACE Ministry Update
Welcome Ms. Sydni Duncan to Avondale! She is a new ACE program teacher. Ms. Duncan is currently a student at UNCC, majoring in Child and Family Development and Psychology.

In partnership with the Alliance Center for Education (ACE), Avondale continues to be a site for remote learning for school age children. Tuesdays through Thursdays, we welcome 15 students (elementary through high school age) and two ACE staff members - Mr. Higgins and Ms. Duncan.
The church financially supports the hot meals and snacks provided each week. Avondale volunteers also joyfully lead Bible studies and other activities for the students. Thank you Avondale for your support of this wonderful ministry!

Honoring the birthday of Dr. Seuss
Such an unpleasant topic, but an important one.
Beware of emails that seem odd. An email from Rev. Jim that sounds strange - probably is not from him! Double check! Start a new email and reach out to him, instead of responding to the email.
Phone calls...if you didn't initiate the call, be skeptical. From scam calls from Duke Energy ready to "cut off your power" to even scam "contact tracing" asking for your personal information.... we all have to think twice sometimes. Trust your gut!
