It is with deep sadness that we share that Mr. Borden "Bordie" McCloskey joined the Church Triumphant Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Bordie was a well loved and faithful member of Avondale for over 40 years! Due to our current circumstances concerning the pandemic, a celebration of life is postponed and arrangements will be shared at a later date. obituary
It is with deep sadness that we share that Jacqueline Howells, our Financial Coordinator, lost her father, Jack Bearman, last Thursday, June 4. This was unexpected and a shock to her, her mother and two sisters. Jacqueline is currently in Arizona, where her parents live. They will have a small family service Friday and a larger celebration of his life later, once family and friends can be together.
Avondale Graduates
Join Avondale families in celebrating the graduates in their lives. High school and college...the accomplishments are many. We shared a tribute this past Sunday in Worship following the Benediction. In case you missed it, read the 2020 list here.

Avondale Confirmation
Class of
2020
The Confirmation class of 2020 has been diving deep into the tenants of our faith, meeting with Reverend Jim and also each with their mentors on this journey of discovery and growth. They will soon be ready to take the next step and join the church. We congratulate them for all of their hard work and dedication. We will look forward to celebrating with them when we can all worship together in person.
