Halloween Trunk or Treat - Oct 24
ACC and Avondale families are invited for scary-good fun this Thurs, Oct 24 @5:30 PM in the church parking lot as our
ACC and church preschool-aged children have a parade and then go "Trunk or Treat"-ing! We ask parents and friends to come in
costume, if possible, and with your vehicle trunk decorated and candy ready! Need ideas ?

Kids Café and Birthday Blessings - Oct 25
This Fri, Oct 25 in the FLC. Last time, we had over 40 children! This is a wonderful way to serve and build relationship with our ABC ministry and families. This does not require volunteer training! Avondale Work Camp - Oct 25-28
  • We have a team of Avondalers heading to White Lake, NC for a Work Camp this weekend. This past Sunday, we had a Commissioning and Blessing for the participants and we ask you to please keep them in your prayers.
  • If you have signed-up for the Work Camp, please find a "What to Bring" list here and a Volunteer Packet here with 3 forms we need you to read/sign/turn-in.
  • If you haven't signed-up, but are interested, find more details here! This work trip is open to Avondalers and friends, ages 14 and up. Join in for any portion of the Fri-Mon trip you are able to!
Youth Holiday Sale - now to Nov 10
Purchase wreaths, garlands and poinsettias now for Christmas and benefit our youth programming!
Order now or pick-up a form at Avondale (Worship or office). Orders due by Nov 10, 2019.
Order pick-up is Dec 7.
Women of the Church Gather - Nov 3
Following Worship on Sun, Nov 3, women of the church are encouraged to gather in the Fellowship Hall for tea and learn more about the circles and missions of the PWA (Presbyterian Women of Avondale). 
ASAP - Oct 28
ASAP will meet this coming Monday at noon in the Fellowship Hall. We will enjoy a program of music provided by Cameron Moore. He will sing some of his original songs and share stories about the songs. Hope we have a LARGE GROUP in attendance! Please bring your flip tabs. 
Acrylic Painting with Sacred Space Art - Nov 2
The next programs are “Acrylic Painting” beginning Nov 2 and “Sugar My Fancy” cake decorating beginning Nov 18.

Reading Buddies
The Reading Buddy program for 2019 is beginning at Sedgefield Middle. If you want to help a middle school student learn how to read better.. do let Mike Love know via email, or speak with him on a Sunday, or call the church office at 704-333-6194. We know you want to share your love of reading with a student, yes?
Scottish Country Dancing - Nov 2
Would you like to have fun and stay fit? Then Scottish country dancing could be for you! Come enjoy an exciting, energetic activity for you or the whole family. It's also a great way to keep in touch with our Scottish (Presbyterian) heritage! Join us in the Family Life Center from 1-3 PM on these dates:

Basketball League - Registration & Season
The Avondale "Playbook for Life" basketball league is open for registration. Find details here .
League teams begin practicing early November. Games begin early December. Play goes through early March.
Basketball is open to Girls & Boys, 18 and under.
