2020 Washington Monument Award

DCBU announces its 2020 awardee for the annual Washington Monument Award: Tom Mindte. Join us on-line this Wednesday evening, August 26th, for the virtual presentation, starting at 8:00 PM: Here on Facebook.
We’ll be joined by Tom, Katy Daley (our 2016 awardee) as presenter, and some familiar names who want to celebrate the award with Tom. Yes, there will be music, too!

Tom Mindte has many bluegrass identities, including performing musician and bandleader, audio engineer, and record label owner. Our bluegrass music community for many years has enjoyed the great benefit of all his work. We see his influence especially through the successful studio operation of his Patuxent Music label, whose catalogue features traditionalists and innovators alike, with important attention to younger artists. Thank you, Tom!

Please join us in congratulating Tom Mindte, and be sure to log on by 8 PM on Wednesday the 26th to the DC Bluegrass Union page on Facebook.
