BHC Community Circle comes to Le Grand BHCCC
Travel Through Le Grand - A BHC Community Circle

 

Come join us for our first quarterly BHC community circle on February 12th. Our first circle of the year will be held in the beautiful town of Le Grand California. 

"Travel through Le Grand" and learn about the amazing programs and services our BHC partners are offering. We encourage all our partners to attend as well as the residents of Le Grand to enjoy a fun evening with games, raffle prizes and more! Bring the kids; food & refreshments are provided!

The BHC Community Circle will be held at the Le Grand High School Auditorium on February 12th from 6PM to 8PM. for more information contact the BHC hub staff. See you there!

State Senator Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres) today introduced SB 131, legislation that would increase funding for the San Joaquin Valley Program in Medical Education (SJV PRIME), an innovative program operated by the University of California that brings more physicians to the region.

Grant Opportunity: Dignity Health SIP Grants Program

Dignity Health released guidelines for its SIP grants program. This is a funding opportunity for BHC partners and collaborative located in Dignity's service areas, particularly those non-profits that can implement new service delivery models and/or transformative approaches to healthcare access and coordinated services. Grants will range from $100K-$500K, over 24 months. Deadline for this is February 20, 2015

In addition there are matching fund requirements along with evaluation, target population, and other important details found in the attachment.

 

Applications from BHC partners are strongly encouraged.

 

Grant Opportunity: First 5 Merced Mini-Grants Now Open GrantOpportunities
First 5 Merced County opened its second cycle of community mini-grants for 2014-2015, which are meant to be distributed among local organizations that propose programs benefiting children age 5 and under.

Those encouraged to apply include: nonprofit agencies, private businesses, community groups and governmental units. 

Completed applications for the grants are due by 4 p.m. Feb 20th.

Last summer HCC placed 7 students in internships with United Way Merced County, Golden Valley Health Center, Merced County Public Health, the Merced Organizing Project, and We'ced Youth Media. 
HCC highly encourages all college students (community college and 4-year universities) from the BHC and local community to apply.
