Awards and Spreading Cheer!

Congratulations to Amanda Nicolai, CFD, ICPF, ICD and Suzanne Koeppen CFD, ICPF, ICD for their award winning arrangements at the Illinois State Floral Association convention.

Amanda received Designer of the Year and first place in the Judi Borah Land of Lincoln Cup depicting the above picture in a floral arrangement!

Suzanne Koeppen CFD, ICPF, ICD was second runner up with for her bright, multi-pieced, tropical arrangement!

Way to go ladies! Your creations are breathtaking and worth all the accolades!

Not only does Amanda create great designs, but she leads with great ideas as well!

"Marcy, is there a way we can get coloring pages out to families with children of all ages to color and then get them to the nursing homes since many residents cannot have visitors at this time?" asked Amanda. "Absolutely!" was the answer.

Rather than just any picture, let me introduce you to Jackee, a sophomore studying art at McHenry County College and a member of our floral department. She looks forward to attending DePaul in the fall to pursue a major in animation.

"Jackee can you draw us a couple of pictures to color?"

She was so excited she designed SIX ! Each one is so beautiful and available for children of any age!

Please click here to see the pictures . Print the ones you would like to color. When finished, take a picture or scan your picture and email to Emily@countrysideflowershop.com . We will print them on weather proof paper and distribute to the nursing homes to hang on the outside of the residents' windows to be viewed from the inside looking out; no contact needed.

Help us spread some cheer to those who need it most! There is no limit, submit as many as you would like!

At this time Countryside is:

* Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday for contact-free, curbside pickup or delivery. We will be closed on Sundays through April 12. We thank you for your patience as we develop a spring order form. For now, feel free to call 815-459-8130 to place an order.

Countryside is working with minimal staffing to continue to:

* Work with landscape customers remotely to finish designs, schedule spring cleanups, and help potential clients with design and landscape advice. If you have questions, feel free to contact the designer you are currently working with or email Barb@countrysideflowershop.com

* Create beautiful floral arrangements from our award winning designers to help our customers spread cheer to those who need it most.

* Grow crops! Our Greenhouse and Nursery Support Staff continue to care for thousands of Countryside Home Grown Vegetable plants, annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs to ensure that, when the soil warms and it is the right time to plant, we have the best quality plants for a successful garden and beautiful landscape.

* Celebrate 60 years of business this year! We are excited that with the support of our staff and the community, together we will keep on growing and beautifying our surroundings for years to come.
