Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Join the movement to end domestic violence

Every October, we recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month—a time to raise awareness, honor survivors, and inspire action. For more than 40 years, Pillars Community Health (PCH) has provided compassionate, whole-person care for survivors. This month, we invite you to join our events and stand in support of those affected.

Available Resources

Immediate Help

Counseling & Advocacy

  • Counseling for individuals, families, and groups
  • Legal and medical advocacy
  • Crisis intervention and case management


Community Outreach and Education

  • Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) – support and education for individuals who have caused harm in relationships
  • Community education programs to raise awareness and prevent violence
  • Prevention workshops and partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and local organizations


Health & Ongoing Support

  • Onsite health care for shelter residents (wellness exams, prenatal care, treatment for illness)
  • Referrals to services such as financial assistance, substance use counseling, and housing programs

World Mental Health Day

For over 30 years, World Mental Health Day has highlighted the importance of mental health awareness and education. At Pillars Community Health, we believe in breaking stigma and making care accessible to all.


Our Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder teams provide a full continuum of care, including:


  • Screenings for depression, anxiety, substance use, and domestic violence
  • Outpatient therapy and counseling for individuals, families, and groups
  • Psychiatry and medication management
  • 24-hour crisis support, including our crisis hotline
  • Substance use disorder services and recovery supports
