"You are exactly where you are supposed to be," said C10 - the guy who calmly shifted behind me in the Southwest boarding queue as I approached the stanchions and stated my seat assignment to those around me also waiting to board. If you have ever flown Southwest, you know you don't have assigned seats on the flight, but instead line up by when you got your boarding pass and search for your seat once on the airplane. Spending one last day and night with my family in Vermont, I had forgotten to log in earlier to get a prime boarding slot, so I was one of the last passengers to board the flight.... and, as I was so gently reminded by this kind gentleman, was exactly where I was supposed to be.

 

YES.

 

Our yoga is everywhere if we are open to it.... even in line to board a flight home. Especially in line to board a flight home.

 

I have returned to this mantra again and again this past week after being back in Pittsburgh.... in those moments when it felt that I was truly in sync with the flow of the Universe, but more importantly when I didn't.

 

What a gift I was given by my fellow passenger (who, surprisingly, had checked into the flight even later than I had)! I'm sure he doesn't realize what an impact his calm manner and simple sentence had on me. The power of those 9 words which influenced me so much in the moment and continued to inspire me all week!   We often never know our true impact in the world and I now wish I could rewind back to that moment, look him directly in the eyes and tell him, "THANK YOU.... Yes, we all are."

 

With gratitude for any and all awareness of the NOW....
