I would like to share an update on what Axsys is doing to keep our customers and our people safe while continuing to provide our high-quality products and services to our customers.

Axsys is following the guidance of global health experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) and U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

We are reminding our employees about frequent hand washing, and we are regularly cleaning and disinfecting our facilities and equipment. Importantly, we are asking that our people stay home from work if they feel sick.

At this point we are continuing our operations however we are limiting our in-person contact with our customers. This includes on-site visits and classroom training operations.

As a distributor of high-technology products to a sophisticated, production orientated market, we accordingly have the infrastructure required to provide our customers access to our support teams regardless of whether our team members are located in our facility, at their home offices or on the road. This means our customers will not see any significant impact in our ability to provide timely, high-quality technical support services during these difficult times.

We are in the process of developing new training deliverables that will allow us to provide our customers with the training they need to maintain their own productivity and profitability goals utilizing a remote strategy as opposed to 100% reliance upon our traditional classroom and on-site training strategy.

We anticipate some exciting news in this area in the next few days and will provide you with the details of the new programs.

It’s hard to know what the next few weeks and months will look like. There is no way to know when life will return to normal, or what the new normal will be, but I do know that we have an amazing support team and support system here at Axsys and we will be here for you.

Although there will surely be business impact and operational disruptions, please know that we are strong, proactive and well positioned to weather this storm.
