with exciting new things coming to the Coast Central Credit Union family in 2019! With the recent government shutdown, Coast Central is dedicated to offering competitive financial services to existing members affected with a promotional 0% interest rate loan until the government shutdown is resolved. An extension to the program may take place if the shutdown continues past 60 days.
Coming on Friday, May 10 the McKinleyville Shred Day will be available to the community, allowing up to three banker boxes of confidential records to be disposed of completely free. What a fantastic way to start 2019!
The spring application for the Dean G. Christensen Community Investment Program is now open; our volunteer Board of Directors has again approved a total of $200,000 in grants for 2019, $100,000 in each of two rounds. Spring applications are due no later than Thursday, February 28th to Humboldt Area Foundation.
Local students are encouraged to apply for our 2019 scholarships; up to 13 will be awarded to high school seniors graduating this year in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity County. Scholarship applications are available online at coastccu.org under community.
Lastly, have some very exciting news for our members; we are currently preparing a conversion to a new core computer system in November. What does this mean for our members? Access to opening new accounts online, and most importantly, improved technology which means faster service for you!
