Azalea Garden Tour, April 13-15, 2018
Don't miss the 65th annual Azalea Garden Tour , kicking off Friday, April 13th at 10 am. Tickets are $25 each and can be pre-purchased at Stone Garden and other vendors, or at the Tour. Children under 12 are free. Preview the 9 private gardens on tour, including Garden #6 below.
Garden #6. 111 Forest Hills Drive

Roberta and Earl Smith's home and grounds are a delight to experience. In addition to the front and back gardens that abound with southern charm, the Smith's recently added a new outdoor room. Set amongst shade trees and plants, a circle of bench boulders surround a rustic fieldstone firepit. Sit and enjoy the tranquility of this new space that looks like it's been part of the garden forever.

I n addition to visiting the nine private gardens on tour, your ticket will provide free entrance to Airlie Gardens (on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am till 5:30). The Cape Fear Museum Park ,  featuring native plant species, rain gardens, and xeriscape design, is also on tour at 814 Market Street. While there, you can enter the museum free (from 9 to 5 on Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 5 on Sunday).

Plein Air Paint Out & Sale
Dozens of artists will be painting in the gardens at the Plein Air Paint Out and their work can be purchased at the "Wet Paint" Sale on Sunday afternoon, April 15th, at the Cape Fear Museum.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Cape Fear Garden Club , the non-profit organization that sponsors the Azalea Garden Tour and has provided over $1 million to the community in the form of grants for beautification, conservation and education .
Attend the (free) Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, featuring Azalea Queen Beth Troutman and her court, 10 am Friday, April 13th, at the Greenfield Park Amphitheater . Watch the Parade of Azalea Belles , accompanied by their handsome Citadel Guard escorts. Then enjoy complimentary punch and homemade cookies.

Free round-trip bus service is provided Friday morning, starting at 8:30 am, from Legion Stadium. Attendees may also arrive via taxi or Uber.
Stepping Stone Step-by-Step
Saturday, May 5th
Join us at Stone Garden on Saturday, May 5th, from 10 to 11 am for a free class. Instructor, Ryan Shaw, will demonstrate how to build your own stepping stone pathway.

Don't miss Dinosaurs at world-class Brookgreen Gardens , just south of Myrtle Beach. The exhibit features 17 anatronic dinosaurs, as well as a "excavation trail" where kids can dig for fossils.
