Greetings, Azle ISD Families!
The 2021-2022 school year is quickly coming to a close. The end of the school year is a time of reflection and a source of pride as we celebrate the tremendous achievements of all of our students. I appreciate the successes of our students, staff, and families. Great things are happening in Azle ISD!
A special shout out to the Class of 2022! I am proud of their accomplishments and honored we have had the privilege of educating and serving this outstanding group of young men and women. This class is currently sitting at $3.6 million in scholarship money, with more still coming in. I wish you well as you embark upon the next phase of your journey.
I would also like to recognize our outstanding group of 19 retirees. This group has a combined 420 years of service in Azle ISD and 546 years in education. I am thankful for their service and dedication to Azle ISD, to our students, and to our community. They have definitely touched the lives of not only our students, but also colleagues, and family members during their careers in education. Thank you, retirees!
As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, our priorities will include continuing to meet the various needs of our diverse student population, focusing on employee retention and recruitment so we can keep high-quality staff serving our students, and managing our communities’ fast growth. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and our district, I cannot thank you enough for your continued partnership and support. I hope you and your families have a joyful, rejuvenating, and safe summer.
We are Azle!
