Message from the Superintendent
Azle ISD Parents and Guardians-

I am certain you are thankful for the pleasant spring weather. It is definitely a busy time of year and it is promising to see things slowly return to normal after the events of the last year.

The Azle ISD community is experiencing growth at a pace unlike we have seen in previous years. Highlights of our recent demographer report show:
  • Enrollment will increase by 2,000 plus students over the next 10 years.
  • 1,600 plus future lots within Azle ISD attendance boundaries.
  • Expected to close 250-300 new homes annually for the next 3-5 years.

As a parent or guardian of an Azle ISD student, I want to be sure you are aware our Board of Trustees has called a May 1 Bond Election. The project recommendations resulted from the hard work of our almost 40 community member Long Range Facility Planning Committee; a group of Azle ISD taxpayers representing you.

The May 1 ballot will include three propositions. Each proposition is a separate proposition, allowing voters the opportunity to vote on each one individually. All three propositions focus on current needs, growth, and educational equity for all students in Azle ISD.
  • Proposition A – Elementary Level Focused
  • Proposition B – Azle High School
  • Proposition C – Hornet Stadium Renovation

Additional information; including the committee process, projected student enrollment numbers, an overview of all the projects included in each proposition, and estimated tax rate impact can be found at http://azleisdbond2021.com/. Early voting runs April 19-27 and Election Day is Saturday, May 1.

If you have questions please reach out to me at [email protected] or 817-444-3235.

I thank each of you for entrusting your children in Azle ISD. A reminder our “We Are Azle” initiative represents ALL stakeholders in Azle ISD working together for our students and our Azle ISD community.

Todd Smith
Superintendent – Azle ISD

2021-22 Football Season Tickets
Azle ISD athletics is excited at the prospect of starting our 2021 football season at full capacity. We are going back to the 2019 season ticket seating assignments and offering those seats back to the season ticket holders who held them before the COVID restrictions. We greatly appreciate all who chose to let player families have the first chance to see their students participate, but now that we are at full capacity, we want to offer those seats back to you first.

2021-22 season tickets will be purchased online only and tickets will be sent by email. You can print them out or present them at the gate on your phone. We will open season tickets up to 2019 ticket holders from May 24 through June 4. We will have two exchange days, June 7-8. You will need to call the Athletics office at 817-270-1725 to make a seat exchange.

Beginning June 10 through July 30, season tickets will be open to the general public.

Please understand that we expect to go back to full capacity, however, if for some reason, we are placed back under capacity restrictions, we will rope off the middle section of the stands and space out the reserved seats. You will be guaranteed a seat, but it may not be the exact seat you purchased.

Gold Card holders will again be allowed to present their Gold Card at the gate for free admission. Masks are optional however the clear bag policy is still in effect.
