Broomfield Days Race - Registration is Open!
Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019. The annual Broomfield Days 5K and 1 mile Fun Run starts and finishes on Midway near the firehouse. Runners follow Broomfield streets and bike paths. View race route. Register today!

Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Norman Smith Service Center, 3001 W. 124th Ave. Bring confidential papers for safe and secure destruction.  Read more.

Depot Museum Speaker Series
Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Broomfield Grange. "Divine Timing: The Creation of the City and County of Broomfield."  Free!   Read more.

One Book, One Broomfield
This city-wide reading and discussion program encourages citizens to read the same book at the same time to create a shared sense of community through literature. This year's selection is "Beautiful Boy" by David Sheff; a memoir which explores issues of substance abuse, fatherhood, and family as seen through the eyes of the father of a young man struggling with addiction.  Reserve your free ticket to the author talk.

17th Judicial District Attorney's Citizens Academy
Sept. 17 through Nov. 5, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. A free 8-week course that demystifies the criminal justice system and provides an inside look at persecution and law enforcement. For more info call 303.835.5639 or download an application.

Living in Balance

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Norman Smith Service Center, 3001 W. 124th Ave. This program is for Broomfield residents only to dispose of household hazardous waste and electronic waste FREE of charge. By appointment only. Reservations for the fall event can be made beginning Sept. 3 by calling 303.438.6334.  Read more.

NEW date and location: Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Broomfield High School. Come dressed in costume and bring a bag for your goodies. Enjoy games, jumping castles, crafts and entertainment. You'll have a hauntingly good time! No registration required and its FREE!  Read more.


Date Correction - Broomfield Community Center Maintenance Closure 
PLEASE NOTE - The dates for the Broomfield Community Center Maintenance Closure have changed. The center will be closed Sept. 9-15, 2019 for maintenance.

All Facility Pass Sale 
Beginning Sept. 1, 2019 new members that purchase an All-Facility Pass during the month of September will receive 10% off for a year! Use your discounted pass at Paul Derda Recreation Center, Broomfield Community Center and The Bay (2020). Passes can be purchased online or at the front counter of the rec center. 

Closure - County Clerk and Recorder
The Broomfield County Clerk & Recorder Department will be closed from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 for staff development. Please plan around the closure for your motor vehicle, recording, city clerk and election needs. Learn more at Broomfield.org/ClerkandRecorder.

Broomfield Days begins on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019 with a golf tournament in the morning and a street dance and Bingo games in the evening. Saturday, Sept. 21 includes a 5K race, clown contest, parade, trade fair, craft festival,  entertainment, food booths, and great community spirit.   Read more .
