Office Closures
In observance of Sukkot and Simchat Torah/Sh'mini Atzeret, B'nai Jehudah's office will be closed:
  • Tuesday, Sept. 21, and
  • Tuesday, Sept. 28
Non emergent emails and phone calls will be returned after those dates.

New Time for Sunday Minyan
Our Sunday morning minyan moved to a new time - 10:20 am - on Facebook live. Join us then for a wonderful virtual prayer experience that includes our 4th-6th grade Yalla! students!
Bar Mitzvah: Gavin Greenwood
September 25
Sara and Paul Greenwood are pleased to announce that their son, Gavin Miles Greenwood, will become a Bar Mitzvah during the morning service on Saturday, September 25. A 7th grader at Pembroke Hill School, Gavin runs Cross Country, plays tennis and pickleball, and is a budding artist. Gavin has attended Camp Timberlane for Boys in Wisconsin for 3 summers. He is an outdoor enthusiast, and has completed six-night canoe trips in the Boundary Waters near the US/Canada border four times.

Wine & Cheese in the Sukkah

Come for a pre-Shabbat wine and cheese event in our Sukkah, then join us for the Erev Shabbat service at 6:00 pm. Everyone will have a chance to shake the lulav and etrog.

Sunday morning Yalla! students will learn and explore the sukkah – and celebrate Sukkot! – during their time at religious school.

Simchat Torah
September 27 & 28
Erev Simchat Torah will be outside, weather permitting, and includes Consecration for our Kindergarten and 1st grade students, who will be accompanied by our Confirmation classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022. Due to the limited number of spots available, registration is required for the Sept. 27 Simchat Torah Celebration.
Joshua Nelson at B'nai Jehudah

S2 Interest Meeting

S2 (Sisterhood for the Next Generation) invites you to join in for a free breakfast and to hear about the
new Sisterhood group at the Temple! S2 is for moms of children middle school-aged and younger, and will meet monthly during Sunday morning Yalla! Events may include Jewish cooking, women’s health talks, community service programs, exercise, etc.

Food Collection
We are extending our Food Drive to the end of Sukkot! Bring your food donations to any in-person B'nai Jehudah event during Sukkot, or drop them off anytime in the food barrels located at B'nai Jehudah's main entrance. These much-needed food donations will be given to JFS Food Pantry and Harvesters so they can help KC residents in need.
