It's been an exciting period in the Trade & Investment space for BAB, as we launched our latest Trade and Investment Guide to the UK -
'Finding Your Way'
for 2019/20, which we developed to help companies in the US looking to trade or invest across the Atlantic.
July also saw BAB play a leading role in the fourth US-UK SME dialogue, hosted by DAC Beachcroft in Bristol, UK, and both our New York and London offices host the next events in BAB's Accelerate series - Check out what we've been up to in July down below!

- one of its key flagship publications, and the leading trade and investment guide for US-based companies seeking to expand across the Atlantic.
Endorsed by the Department for International Trade (DIT) and the U.S. Commercial Service,
Finding Your Way
combines a wealth of practical, expert advice from BAB member companies into a single publication, making it a must-read for any US based company with transatlantic ambitions.
The publication was launched at Livery Hall, City of London on 22 July, where we were joined by our partner companies, members and friends from across our network. Speaking at the event was Catherine McGuinness,

BAB Helps Facilitate Fourth US-UK SME Dialogue
|
On 9 July, BritishAmerican Business welcomed attendees to the offices of
DAC Beachcroft
in Bristol, UK for the Fourth US-UK SME Dialogue, which took place under the auspices of the Trade & Investment Working Group. Discussion focused on the opportunities presented by Emerging Technologies (EmTech) for services and digital trade, as well as the obstacles faced by SMEs engaging in transatlantic trade.

BAB Holds Next Events in Accelerate Roundtable Series
|
|
Both BAB London and New York held the latest events in the Accelerate Series in July.
On 17 July, BAB New York welcomed attendees to the offices of

for the 6th Accelerate dinner and discussion, where they were delighted to b
e joined by David Placek, Founder & President, Lexicon Branding. Lexicon Branding has created some of the world’s most successful brand names, including Swiffer, BlackBerry, Dasani Water, Febreze, Subaru’s Outback, Sonos, and Verizon Fios. Over $350 billion dollars of products have been sold that carry a Lexicon-created brand name.
In London, on 1 July, BAB held its latest Accelerate roundtable event at the offices of members

. We welcomed two very special guests to this event, David Hesketh, Chairman and COO, Trading Hub, who led the discussion with a case study of Trading Hub's own transatlantic journey, and Alex Chisnall, StartupU founder,
Virgin Startup
mentor, and host of the
Screw It, Just Do It podcast
, who moderated the discussion.

DIT Launches Trade Promotion Toolkit for MPs to Boost UK Exports
|
|
|
On 17 July, Members of Parliament were encouraged to become local trade ministers' as the Department for International Trade (DIT) launched a new toolkit to help MPs promote UK exports.
Launched as part of DIT's 'Exporting is GREAT' campaign, the toolkit provides MPs with the resources and information they need to help businesses in their constituencies realise their exporting potential.
