Dear colleagues in the transatlantic trade and investment community,

First of all, we hope you, your families and colleagues all safe and healthy.

There is no question, this time is challenging for many in our community; and the focus must be to steer our businesses as best as possible through this challenging time.

This is why the BAB trade team has shifted efforts on collecting the most relevant information on updates from government, relevant corporate entities and other public bodies your business or employees may need. Whether its travel guidance and restrictions, or support schemes to help keep you on your feet in the UK and the US, check out our regularly updated BAB COVID-19 portal below and please feel free to get in touch with any questions you may have.

We will also change our event programming. Not only will we offer it online; we will also make ‘Managing COVID-19’ a central part of our programme; looking at office rent questions, or how to make use of government loan, and job retention schemes. Our popular ‘Accelerate’ series will continue, but we will also ask our ‘case study’ speakers how they navigate these times.

Finally, we at BAB are fortunate to be part of a network of partners who provide useful (and often free) initial information and guidance that can inform our and your work. See below for a sample feature of some of these partners. Get in touch directly, or we are happy to facilitate an introduction.

MHA MacIntyre Hudson's Going Global Guides to Investing in the US and UK

MHA MacIntyre Hudson have released two guides to international investing, one for investing in the UK, and one for the US.

Comprehensive and easy to read, these guides serve to answer frequently asked questions for international investors such as what other main registrations are typically required in setting up a company overseas, What information must typically be provided to set up a company or branch, and what costs are involved in registering a company including professional fees and authorities’ charges.

It's a confusing, and often overwhelming time to run a business, particularly if you're an SME. With the severe impact of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis being felt across all industries across the US and UK, many businesses are left wondering what avenues are open to them to keep their business running as smooth as possible.

BAB's Accelerate series aims to cut through the confusion and bring you comprehensive, informative and tailored advice on the support available to you during this time. Our new Accelerate Resilience & Continuity series will run in both the USA and UK, delivering relevant advice and guidance from industry experts, and is a must-watch for any small or medium-sized enterprise navigating these uncertain times.
