Enter the KE at Home Raffle by Dec. 31 to Support Our BACC Scholarship Fund

Help support the BACC Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund by entering to win a $500 gift card to Katherine Elizabeth At Home and a gift box of favorite items from their Holiday Gift Guide. Raffle tickets are $20 or six for $100, and can be purchased now through Dec. 31. All proceeds from the raffle, hosted by Katherine Elizabeth Design, will benefit the scholarship fund.
Virtual "Ask An Expert" Program on LinkedIn Strategies Jan. 11

Learn about "LinkedIn Strategies for Building Connections” at our BACC "Ask An Expert" virtual program on Tuesday, Jan. 11 from 9:00-10:00 am. Experts from The Barrington Career Center will discuss LinkedIn basics, how to grow your network and much more. Time for Q&A will be provided. The program is FREE for BACC members/$15 for nonmembers and includes around-the-screen intros, networking and the program.
WBN Lunch Program on Jan. 20 at Francesca's Famiglia

Ladies and gentlemen are invited to join the BACC Women's Biz Net for a lunch program and networking on Thursday, Jan. 20 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm at Francesca's Famiglia, 100 E. Station St. in Barrington.

Lauren Britton of LAB Productions will give a presentation on Social Media Marketing and How to Grow Your Business Online.

Cost to attend is $35/member and $45/nonmember, which includes lunch, networking and the program. Sponsor for this program is Skin Wellness by Renee.
Sign Up to Attend the Annual Dinner & Scholarship Fundraiser

Sign up today to attend the BACC Annual Dinner & Scholarship Fundraiser on Thursday, January 27 from 5:30-9:30 pm at Avante Banquets and Conference Center, 1050 Northwest Hwy. in Fox River Grove.

The event, which supports the BACC Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund and Small Business Programming, includes food stations, a cash bar, live music, networking, a silent auction and more! Tickets are $65 per guest or $500 for a table of 8. Online bidding for the Silent Auction begins January 12.

Silent Auction items are still being accepted. To donate an item please email the Chamber at: communications@barringtonchamber.com with a description and estimated value of your donation. Items should be delivered to the Chamber office by Jan. 6. Thank you for your support!

Registration is Open for 2022 Welcome Neighbor Program

Target residents moving into the 60010 area just as they are developing new buying habits with our Welcome Neighbor program! There are three ways to participate:

  • Receive monthly New Resident Lists for your own marketing efforts (Cost:$150);
  • Include a flyer, trinket or coupon only (1,000 items) in the Welcome Neighbor Bags (Cost: $150);
  • Participate in both option #1 and #2 and save (Cost: $275).

Space is limited and video placements are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. IL Employers Must Provide Annual Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Reminder: The Illinois Human Rights Act requires employers to provide annual sexual harassment prevention training. In addition, restaurants and bars must establish and disseminate a written policy on sexual harassment prevention training and provide "supplemental" sexual harassment prevention training. The Illinois Dept. of Human Rights (IHRA) has developed a model sexual harassment prevention training program for use by employers, however employers may develop their own training program that equals or exceeds the minimum standards for sexual harassment prevention training outlined in the IHRA model. For details CLICK HERE.
Deadline to Submit SBA National Small Business Award Nominations is Jan. 11

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2022 National Small Business Week Awards hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The awards recognize achievements of SBA-assisted small businesses and the contributions they have made to their communities and our nation’s economy. Vaccination & Mask Guidelines from the Illinois Dept. of Health

An Executive Order signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker, requires all individuals over the age of 2 (who can medically tolerate a face covering) to wear a mask when in indoor public places. The order also requires health care workers, school personnel, higher education personnel and students, and employees and contractors of state-owned or operated congregate facilities to be fully vaccinated. Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Accepting Vaccine Appointments

COVID-19 vaccine appointments for people 12 and older are now being accepted at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, 450 W. Hwy. 22 in Barrington.
