| | That’s right…I’m finally back in the saddle again! And it feels good. Huge thanks to Lynn for filling in on the many newsletters and keeping you abreast of what was going on in the SVQ sewing stitching quilting world. I was sorry to miss out on the Rusty Barn Show because I love doing the shows, but I had no strength yet from my reverse shoulder replacement surgery; however, the crew came together in a fine way and we and you had a successful and fun show. We were able to get our “giddy up” to go. We were able to do some sensational pricing packages for you, and many of you took advantage: a big THANK YOU! And now we move forward to our local Maricopa Valley Shop Hop beginning October 9 through 17. Never a dull moment! Feel free to take advantage of us again…please!!! | | Click on the Picture for more Information | | Now that I’m getting more bionic than ever before (both knees and now the left shoulder) I hope to be in fine shape for our demos at the hop. Those I hate to miss, for sure, and I’m hoping that the half of my left hand that is still numb from the surgery is fully back by hop time. Rest assured that I can manage the demo using only my right hand if I have to!! I have enough metal parts in me right now to be able to sit tall in the saddle, and that feels just about right. | | If you want a Stitchers Suitcase to put your gear in, then be sure to check out the two day ByAnnie machine (or gear!) bag class with Lynn M. We have a sample for you sitting next to a Featherweight machine, along with the additional smaller bags that come with the pattern and will keep you organized for easy travel or storage! Days one and two are this week Thursday and Friday, days three and four are Sept. 24 and 25 Oct. 1 and 29. We have all the needed supplies in the shop so be sure to reserve your spot and pick up the supply list, so you’re ready at the starting gate! | | Click on the Picture for more Information | | Please don’t forget to sign up for Belinda’s “Breaking the Rules” class on Sept. 30. I believe that this was requested to be taught again, so now is your chance. You will learn some Lauria Heine-esque techniques of more free form placement, fussy cutting, just letting loose and playing with placement; there is no right or wrong, only what looks good to your eye! Belinda’s sample is on a pillow front, but you can make it a wall hanging, a panel, a horse of a different color, so to speak. In other words, your own creation. Give it a try and see if you relate to the technique! | | Click on the Picture for more Information | | For the upcoming future, we’re working on bringing back some refreshed technique-type classes for you. One will be Edge To Edge, with Jan!!! We’re looking for a few dates on the calendar for you, so stay tuned. Jan, as you know, has been our sensational embroidery instructor for many years, and we want you to learn from one of the best. Jan and I also talked about her doing Pinpoint Placement classes, and any others that you might wish. Lauri W. is handling the new Beach Potato fun projects, with or without a kit, as well as the Embroidery On Everything classes. In addition, let us know what aspects of software you would like Lauri to handle for your software acumen. | | Click on the Picture for more Information | | We want to provide you with what you want, and we can do that when you let us know what areas you have with your machine or your techniques that need boosting!
