Happy Fall, Hockey Families!

AJH travel families, we are less than a week away from our first Fall Face-Off (FFO) weekend. This is our 30th Fall Face-Off and AJH's largest fundraising event for our organization. The FFO weekends help keep your athlete's tuition fees down, and every season, our tournament attracts youth hockey programs from all over Colorado and out of state. The town is buzzing with tremendous youth hockey! 

As part of the event, all travel members must volunteer a minimum of 6 shifts over these three weekends to help support Aspen Junior Hockey. 

This season, included in your player registration was a $250 volunteer deposit. To get these funds returned, you must fulfill your shifts per family. If you do not meet your volunteer requirements, AJH will deduct from your deposit to hire families from the sub-list. Once your obligations are met, families will have their deposit refunded by the end of the season. Other options include applying to next season's tuition or donating it back to AJH.

We will be sending out the volunteer sign-up info this coming week. Please mark your calendars and set some time aside to volunteer. We can't do it without you!

Here are some reminders for each family. 



• All travel families are required to fulfill six volunteer shifts per family.
• If you are interested in earning some extra funds to help towards your athlete's tuition, contact Jackie Ayers ([email protected]) to get on the sub-list. Families can fill in extra shifts when available. (Must be 14 years and older)
• Families that do not fulfill your required shifts or you are a no-show for your scheduled time will be subject to fees. If you do not plan to participate in your volunteer shifts, please, contact Jackie, so we can hire a sub.
• Fall Face-Off Weekend 1 (October 13-15th) 18U/HS - 14UAA - 12UAA - 10UAA
• Fall Face-Off Weekend 2 (October 20-22nd) 12U A/B - 10U A/B - 10U Girls
• Fal Face-Off Weekend 3 (October 27-29th) 14U A/B - 12U Girls - 15U Girls - 19U Girls
• A how-to score and run-the-clock training session will be forthcoming. This is a great time to brush up on your skills or learn for this upcoming season's volunteer opportunities.
