The BACnet Institute Updates
The one-stop, online center for BACnet educational resources, The BACnet Institute (TBI), has continued to grow in both audience and resources available. If you haven't checked out the new course on TBI, you should!
The Facility Manager’s Guide to Building Automation Systems (BAS)
provides insight on how facility managers can effectively participate in and contribute to a BACnet-based BAS integration. The course is positioned from a facility manager’s perspective but it is also a valuable resource for other key professionals in the BAS integration process, including building owners, contractors, project consultants, and even IT professionals.
In this course you’ll gain an understanding of the key principles of BACnet-based BAS design and procurement, the importance of collaboration between Facility Management and IT, and how the Networked Controls BAS design model enables streamlined facilities management.
Technical Forum
The Technical Forum encourages open discussion of current BACnet-related topics, sharing insight across differing expertise and perspectives. From novice to expert, individuals have shared over 500 questions, ranging from Simulator for BACnet IP, Event Initiating Objects, Buffer Ready Event Parameters, Encoding of NameValue in Array, and more.
Visit
www.thebacnetinstitute.org
