February 2018
Welcome to the newest edition of the Cornerstones enewsletter. The BACnet International community benefits from information and education shared through Cornerstones, the organization's monthly electronic publication. This publication is disseminated to members of the BACnet community, connecting corporate, integrator, site, student and individual end users.

Cornerstones is a unique publication because it speaks not only to the engineer and contractor communities, but also to facility professionals, building managers and owners, and other personnel.

This is where you come in. We need you to connect! If there is a best practice, company news, product news or BACnet Success Story you want to share, please send them to us. And don't leave out the photos!

All submissions should be sent to Kathleen Magee, BACnet International's Marketing Manager.

2018 AHR Expo - Another Great Show!

BACnet International, along with 50 Member Companies, exhibited at the AHR Expo last week. Of those member companies 44 have BTL tested products proudly displaying the BTL Mark.  Traffic at the booth was steady and many connections were made with existing and potential members.

Slides of these presentations will be made available on the BACnet International Educational Events page, while videos of the sessions will be uploaded to The BACnet Institute (TBI) website. We will send out notifications when these are live and online.

Following the positive feedback of its BACnet Basics course, as well as the resounding request for more courses, The BACnet Institute is proud to announce the coming release of its new course:
The Facility Manager's Guide to Building Automation Systems (BAS).

This new course provides insight on how Facility Managers can effectively participate in and contribute to a BACnet-based BAS integration. By taking the course, you will get a stronger understanding of the key principles of BAS design and procurement, ensuring integration achieves required results. In addition, the course discusses the importance of collaboration between Facility Management and IT with a focus on how the relationship can be leveraged effectively in order to maintain long-term success. Lastly, the course explains how a BAS design model enables streamlined facilities, thereby ensuring adaptability to future opportunities.

Like the current BACnet Basics course, this new course will be on-demand and self-paced so you can access it at anytime, anywhere. And it is free!
